It is hard to find a more executive-looking pairing. Interpretively, this suggests steady, disciplined leadership: someone who climbs patiently, manages resources carefully and is taken seriously from an early age. Astronomically, December 26 puts the Sun near 4° Capricorn in most years, inside the first ten-degree slice of the sign, which tradition links with Saturn. Saturn rules Capricorn and also governs the sign's first decan, which spans roughly December 22 to December 31. Birthdays here arrive at the turning point of the year, and this decan is traditionally read as the sign in its most concentrated form: patient, ambitious, realistic and willing to climb slowly. Responsibility often arrives early in life for these natives. Doubled Saturn can make them hard on themselves and reluctant to rest until the work is complete. Their quiet authority tends to grow with age, and humour, usually dry, is one of the ways they lighten what they carry. ## Birthday number and Life Path for December 26 A birthday on the 26th reduces as 2 + 6 = 8. Here the 2's cooperative instinct and the 6's sense of responsibility build towards the 8's practical power. Twenty-sixth-born people are often described as capable organisers who lead through care, managing a household, a business or a community with both warmth and firmness. They tend to think about security for the people they love. As a secondary number, the 26 is traditionally associated with sound judgement in material matters. Balancing control with trust in others is often part of their path. Add the birth year and the picture shifts again: a December 26 birthday gives Life Path 3 for 1990, 4 for 2000, 5 for 2010 and 6 for 2020. Some birth years on this date reach the master numbers 22 and 33. Read the birthday number as a secondary note beside that main theme. ## Season, Chinese zodiac and famous December 26 birthdays December birthdays arrive at the start of northern winter, around the shortest days and the year's festivities, and at the start of summer in the southern hemisphere. Sagittarius holds most of the month, with Capricorn beginning around December 21 or 22. In numerology December is month 12, which reduces to 3: expression and sociability, built from the 1 and 2 of initiative and partnership. December 26 is the 360th day of the year (361st in a leap year). Counting forward, the next sign change, into Aquarius, is usually complete within 26 days, by January 21. By December 26 the Chinese new year is well under way, which means the animal and element are those of the calendar birth year. Among the best-known people with a December 26 birthday are Mao Zedong (1893), Charles Babbage (1791) and Henry Miller (1891). ## Frequently asked questions ### What zodiac sign is December 26?
