In numerology the day gives birthday number 1. The Life Path also uses the birth year. Scorpio is fixed and water. ## Key facts | Fact | Value | | --- | --- | | Sun sign | Scorpio in every year from 1930 to 2030 | | Decan | Scorpio decan 1 (Pluto) | | Sun's position at noon UTC | About 4° Scorpio | | Scorpio · element · modality · ruler | Water · Fixed · Pluto | | Birthday number | 28 → 1 | | Life Path by birth year | 1960: 9 · 1970: 1 · 1980: 11 · 1990: 3 · 2000: 4 · 2010: 5 · 2020: 6 | | Chinese zodiac | After Lunar New Year, so the animal is the birth year's own | | Born on this day | Bill Gates (1955), Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (1956), Julia Roberts (1967) | ## The October 28 birthday in astrology October 28 reduces to 1, numerology's emblem of initiative, and places the Sun at about four degrees of Scorpio, in the Pluto-ruled first decan. That combination is traditionally linked with willpower and self-reliance. The interpretive picture is a determined individual who prefers to work things out alone, commits fully once decided and rarely abandons a goal halfway. Astronomically, October 28 puts the Sun near 4° Scorpio in most years, inside the first ten-degree slice of the sign, which tradition links with Pluto. Pluto rules Scorpio in modern astrology and also governs its first decan, so late October and the first days of November hold the sign in concentrated form. This decan is traditionally associated with intensity, privacy and a capacity to go deep into whatever it touches, whether a relationship, a mystery or a personal reinvention. Trust tends to be slow and, once given, complete. Doubled Pluto can bring a strong will and a reluctance to show vulnerability. Natives often find their power in honest transformation: releasing what no longer fits rather than guarding it out of habit. ## Birthday number and Life Path for October 28 A birthday on the 28th reduces as 2 + 8 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1. The birthday number is 1, but reached by a route that runs through partnership (2) and authority (8). Numerologists often read the 28th as a more cooperative kind of leader than the 1st: independent and ambitious, yet aware that big plans need allies. Those born on this day are frequently described as determined, enterprising and persuasive. As a supporting number, the 28 tends to show in a talent for starting things with others already on board, rather than recruiting help after the fact. Add the birth year and the picture shifts again: an October 28 birthday gives Life Path 3 for 1990, 4 for 2000, 5 for 2010 and 6 for 2020. Some birth years on this date reach the master number 11. Read the birthday number as a secondary note beside that main theme. ## Season, Chinese zodiac and famous October 28 birthdays October birthdays fall in mid-autumn north of the equator, with turning leaves and earlier evenings, and in mid-spring in the southern hemisphere. Libra holds most of the month, with Scorpio arriving around October 23. In numerology October is month 10, which reduces to 1: a number of new starts and independence, carried here with a 0 that is often read as amplifying it. October 28 is the 301st day of the year (302nd in a leap year). Counting forward, the next sign change, into Sagittarius, is usually complete within 26 days, by November 23. By October 28 the Chinese new year is well under way, which means the animal and element are those of the calendar birth year. Among the best-known people with an October 28 birthday are Bill Gates (1955), Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (1956) and Julia Roberts (1967). ## Frequently asked questions ### What zodiac sign is October 28?
