The Sun near three degrees of Libra sits in the Venus decan, emphasising fairness, charm and partnership, and the birthday number 8 brings an appetite for authority and tangible outcomes. The blend is often linked with negotiators and mediators: people who can make a deal feel equitable and still close it. Astronomically, September 26 puts the Sun near 3° Libra in most years, inside the first ten-degree slice of the sign, which tradition links with Venus. Libra's first decan, from about September 23 to October 2, holds Venus as both sign ruler and sub-ruler. This is traditionally the most graceful and relationship-minded part of the sign. Fairness, harmony and aesthetic sense are emphasised, along with a gift for making guests feel welcome. Those born here often weigh every side of a decision, which makes them good mediators and occasionally slow choosers. The doubled Venus influence can also lead to avoiding conflict at the cost of honesty. Growth often arrives with the discovery that a fair outcome sometimes requires an uncomfortable conversation first. ## Birthday number and Life Path for September 26 A birthday on the 26th reduces as 2 + 6 = 8. Here the 2's cooperative instinct and the 6's sense of responsibility build towards the 8's practical power. Twenty-sixth-born people are often described as capable organisers who lead through care, managing a household, a business or a community with both warmth and firmness. They tend to think about security for the people they love. As a secondary number, the 26 is traditionally associated with sound judgement in material matters. Balancing control with trust in others is often part of their path. Add the birth year and the picture shifts again: a September 26 birthday gives Life Path 9 for 1990, 1 for 2000, 2 for 2010 and 3 for 2020. Some birth years on this date reach the master number 22. Read the birthday number as a secondary note beside that main theme. ## Season, Chinese zodiac and famous September 26 birthdays A September birthday arrives at the turn into autumn for the northern hemisphere, a season of new terms and gathering in, and at the start of spring in the southern. Virgo occupies most of the month, with Libra taking over around September 22 or 23, near the equinox. September is month 9 in numerology, the number of completion, compassion and a broad, humanitarian outlook. September 26 is the 269th day of the year (270th in a leap year). Counting forward, the next sign change, into Scorpio, is usually complete within 28 days, by October 24. By September 26 the Chinese new year is well under way, which means the animal and element are those of the calendar birth year. Among the best-known people with a September 26 birthday are T. S. Eliot (1888), Martin Heidegger (1889) and Paul VI (1897). ## Frequently asked questions ### What zodiac sign is September 26?
